Come as you are—and let God meet you wholeHEARTedly.
Journaling has always been more than a hobby for me it’s a healing and therapeutic practice, a sacred space where the pages become altars and the ink becomes surrender. Writing allows me to slow down, reflect, and process what my heart is carrying. But more than that, it’s how I talk to God and how He talks back to me.
As a practical person, I’ve always believed that the Word of God should not only be known but lived. That’s why I personalize Scripture. I speak it with my name in it. I write it into my daily life. Doing this makes it real, alive, and relevant to whatever season I’m in. When I personalize the Word, it becomes less of a distant truth and more of a living conversation between my heart and the heart of my Father.
This journal was born after a season of emotional numbness that led me into a toxic relationship. My soul was crying out for rescue, and my heart stood in disbelief shattered by what I had allowed and confused by how I got there. In a state of survival, I stopped journaling. I silenced the very practice that once helped me live.
But in God's mercy, the Holy Spirit gently led me to the pages of a trauma-informed abuse therapist who reminded me of the strategic, Spirit-led power of journaling. Through his wisdom, I began to understand that journaling wasn’t just reflective it was restorative. It was a tool, a weapon, a lifeline. And as I picked up my pen again, I began to remember its power.
